I. POSITION PURPOSE
A. Provides cleaning and light maintenance for the parish buildings and grounds. This is a part-time position that will provide weekly cleaning for St. Mary's Church in Castle Rock, WA and St. Rose Church in Longview, WA, it will also provide backup for the full-time custodian at the School and Parish Center.
II. MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assures that the St. Marys Church and parish hall are maintained in a clean and orderly manner including dusting, mopping, vacuuming floors, cleaning bathrooms, washing windows, and collecting and disposing of garbage and recycling.
- Assures that St. Rose Church is maintained in a clean and orderly manner including dusting, mopping, vacuuming floors, cleaning bathrooms, washing windows, and collecting and disposing of garbage and recycling.
- Attends annual Archdiocesan safety meeting.
- Maintains an inventory of cleaning & hospitality supplies and equipment and notifies facility manager to reorder as needed. (facilities@strose-longview.org)
- Maintains a level of knowledge and skills required to function as a Custodian. This is accomplished through reading appropriate materials and attending appropriate workshops or participating in other training opportunities.
- Fill in at St. Rose School and Parish Hall/Offices when full-time custodian is not available. Assures that the school building and classrooms are maintained in a clean and orderly manner including dusting mopping, vacuuming floors, cleaning bathrooms, washing windows and collecting and disposing of garbage and recycling.
- Provide general assistance as needed through setting up chairs, tables in the parish and school facilities as requested. Helping the full-time custodian and facilities manager as directed.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Any offered salary is determined based on internal equity, internal salary ranges, market data, applicants skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications.
