Job Description: Social Studies Teacher (U.S. History and Economics)
St. John's Prep is urgently seeking qualified candidates for an immediate teaching position in the Social Studies Department for the 2024-2025 academic year.
Responsibilities:
Teach U.S. History Regents-level courses in and Economics, along with potential elective offerings.
Be Familiar with the NYS Regents Examinations in United States History and Government.
Develop and implement a curriculum aligned with NYS Social Studies Standards and the Grades 9-12 Social Studies Framework.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in history, education, or a related field
Strong oral and written communication skills.
