Job Description:
St. Mary's is currently seeking a dedicated individual to join our team in providing essential maintenance and custodial services for our buildings. We have one part time position available, focusing on custodial and basic maintenance tasks.
Key responsibilities:
* Cleaning Classrooms: Dusting, sweeping, mopping, and sanitizing desks, floors, and other surfaces in classrooms.
* Restroom Maintenance: Cleaning and sanitizing restrooms, replenishing supplies (toilet paper, soap, paper towels), and ensuring facilities are in good working order.
* Common Areas: Cleaning and maintaining hallways, stairwells, cafeterias, gyms, and other shared spaces, including trash removal.
* Floor Care: Sweeping, mopping, waxing, and buffing floors as needed to maintain cleanliness and appearance.
* Trash Disposal: Emptying trash cans throughout the school and ensuring proper disposal of waste.
* Event Setup and Cleanup: Assisting with the setup and breakdown of furniture and equipment for school events, assemblies, and meetings.
* Window Cleaning: Cleaning windows, glass doors, and mirrors to ensure visibility and cleanliness.
* Inventory Management: Keeping track of cleaning supplies and equipment, and notifying supervisors when items need to be reordered.
* Safety Checks: Monitoring buildings and grounds for hazards, ensuring safety protocols are followed, and promptly reporting maintenance issues.
* Seasonal Tasks: Managing snow removal, salting walkways in winter, and maintaining outdoor areas during warm months.
Position Details:
* Part-time position for a maximum of 25 hours per week (unless otherwise mutually agreed upon).
* Shifts is early morning to early afternoons, totaling approximately 6 hours per day.
* Schedule is Monday through Friday
* On-the-job training will be provided to help you succeed in your role.
Qualifications:
* Trustworthy, efficient, organized, and adaptable.
* Previous experience in maintenance is preferred but not mandatory.
* Must be authorized to work in the U.S.A. and able to complete all background screening requirements (provided), including child protection training.
* At least a conversational level of familiarity with the English language.
