ACADEMIC MATH TUTOR: Elyria Catholic High School seeks a part-time Academic Math Tutor for the 2024-25 school year. Responsibilities include: Assisting students with math during their study halls, during class work time, and/or before/after school. Maintain a professional attitude with all program stakeholders. Communicate with school staff regarding student needs and issues. Perform other duties as assigned.
The ideal candidate for this position will:.Have experience working with students who have learning differences. Enjoy working with students in the classroom. Create an atmosphere in which students feel safe and welcomed. Use a variety of engaging instructional strategies to assist students with learning and in meeting course standards. Work collaboratively with staff for the good of students and the school. Qualifications for this position: Knowledge of high school math and/or science, VIRTUS certification and BCI/FBI background check.
