Brief Job Description: Accounts payable and payroll processing for St. Mary’s Parish, St. Mary’s Elementary School, and St. Mary’s Cemetery.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
•Enter bills from parish and school into PDS and prepare checks for signature and mail/pay electronically when ready.
•Post weekly collection information from counting team.
•Reconcile monthly/quarterly bank and investment statements.
•Print monthly reports for finance council and school board meetings.
•Provide business manager with annual report.
•Process adjusting journal entries (AJE) for school.
•Order supplies for parish, cemetery and rectory.
•Onboard all employees from the school, parish and cemetery.
•Process bi-weekly payroll and retirement for all employees.
•Process health and dental insurance request for all employees.
•Maintain employment records for all employees.
•Create GL reports for school as requested.
•Backup to secretary on all other day to day activities of the rectory.
Qualifications: Required Education/Experience:
•Experience with Parish Data Systems (PDS) preferred.
•Knowledge of financial standards, principles and practices to develop and maintain financial procedures, policies, records and reports.
•Computer skills with Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, online banking programs and general ledger software as well as the ability to effectively define or enhance existing programs for better productivity and effectiveness.

Salary: $18.50 – 24.00 per hour, depending on experience.
