Job Summary
The Outreach Manager is responsible for development and execution of plans to promote OLAM and the Shrine of the Most Blessed Sacrament to a variety of target audiences, including: priests, seminarians and others for whom the Retreat House is intended; potential pilgrims, pilgrimage coordinators and other visitors to the Shrine; aspirants and others inquiring about vocations to the contemplative religious life at OLAM. The incumbent works closely with the PCPA community, the Director of Administration, Graphic Design Manager, and others to communicate a value proposition to each target audience that is aligned with the PCPA constitution and the OLAM Shrine Vision and Mission. They will develop and maintain relationships and lines of communications with target audiences and provide ongoing performance feedback from each to the Shrine Hospitality organization, Operations, Gift Shop of El Nino, et al. The role is highly visible and requires some travel.
Essential Duties
Develops and executes an annual outreach plan that will result in increased awareness of OLAM and the Shrine in each target audience.
Develops and maintains a working relationship with key players in a variety of target audiences, including: diocesan, seminary, and parish leadership, pilgrimage coordinators, leaders of Catholic student organizations, state and regional/national tourism organizations, et al.
Teams with the Graphic Design Manager to build and leverage media presence, including: social media, print media, television, radio, et al.
Teams with the Graphic Design Manager and Hospitality (Pilgrimage, Retreat House, etc.) to develop and deploy effective communications materials to visitors in each of the target audiences.
Other duties as determined by the PCPA community and/or the Director of Administration.
Knowledge & Skills Requirements
Full commitment to the Mission of OLAM and the Shrine of the Most Blessed Sacrament.
Practicing Catholic in good standing with the Church and deep knowledge of the Catholic faith.
College Degree or Equivalent Experience.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, presentation skills.
Considerable knowledge of Google Calendar, Drive, other computer programs and Social Media platforms.
Able to travel by ground or air to any location in North America.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) communications skills a plus.
