Position Summary: Teaching computer science classes at the Entry-level position as well as Advanced Placement at both middle and high school levels focusing on developing their technological literacy and skills.

Essential Job Functions:
- Plan and deliver lessons on technology-related topics, adapting curriculum to meet students’ needs
- Teach skills ranging from basic keyboarding to advanced computer programming
- Instruct students in the proper use, care, and safe handling of equipment
- Create and maintain a productive learning environment
- Evaluate student performance through assignments, projects, and tests
- Communicate effectively with students and parents about progress
- Develop and update curriculum as needed
- Maintain computer systems and troubleshoot technical issues
- Integrate technology applications across various subjects
- Organize activities for optimal learning, including demonstrations, lectures, and discussions

Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in education or a related field
- Valid state teaching license with appropriate endorsement to teach Technology Education
- Proficiency in various computer applications and technologies
- Ability to teach basic to advanced computer applications
- Understanding of computer systems maintenance and troubleshooting
- Familiarity with network administration and infrastructure
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, staff, and parents
- Ability to plan and deliver lessons on technology-related topics
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to different learning styles
- Strong classroom management skills
- Patience and ability to work with diverse student populations
- Commitment to staying current with technological advancements
- Experience with Project Lead the Way a plus
- Catholic in good standing
Working Conditions/Physical Requirements: The candidate should have knowledge of how to use a computer, copier, fax machine and phone. A driver’s license is required. This position involves standing for extended periods and walking around the classroom, visual and auditory abilities to interact with students in various settings, sitting, talking, using hands and feet, climbing/balancing, stopping/kneeling/crouching/crawling, reaching above shoulders, and tasting/smelling at least 1/3 of the time. Manual dexterity to operate computers and other technical equipment. The candidate should also be able to lift 25 lbs to move files or carry materials.
