Responsible for providing Christian formation, religious education and sacramental preparation to members of the parish faith community.
St. John Francis Regis Parish is seeking a dedicated and passionate Director of Faith Formation to support the pastor in leading the staff and lay volunteers in strengthening the Catholic faith of our community. The Director will oversee the development and implementation of faith formation programs for youth, young adults, and adults, ensuring that all members of the parish grow in their faith journey. Work Schedule is flexible.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and Lead Faith Formation Programs: Create, implement, and manage comprehensive faith formation programs for school-aged children, teenagers, and adults that align with Catholic teachings and values.
- Collaborate with Parish Staff and Volunteers: Work closely with the pastor, parish and school staff, and lay volunteers to provide spiritual guidance, support, and training for faith formation initiatives. P
- Coordinate Sacramental Preparation: Oversee preparation programs for sacraments such as First Communion, Confirmation, and Reconciliation, ensuring participants and their families are engaged and well-prepared for both the Parish and School.
- Youth Ministry Support: Organize and lead youth ministry activities, retreats, and events that promote spiritual growth and community building.
- Adult Faith Formation: Develop and facilitate Bible studies, RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults), and other adult education programs to help deepen the faith of adult parishioners.
- Plan and Organize Special Events: Coordinate parish-wide faith formation events, retreats, and workshops that foster spiritual growth for all ages.
- Maintain Flexible Work Schedule: Adapt work hours to accommodate evening, weekend, or special event needs as required for the role.
Qualifications:
- Required:
- Practicing Catholic with a strong understanding of Catholic teachings, traditions, and values
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with parish staff, volunteers, and families
- Strong leadership skills with a passion for nurturing the spiritual growth of others
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and other technology tools relevant to the role
- Experience in Parish Faith Formation or religious education
- Preferred:
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Theology, Religious Studies, Education, or a related field
Additional Information:
- This is a full-time, exempt position, with an average of 32 hours or more per week. The work schedule is flexible to accommodate the responsibilities of the role, which may include evenings and weekends.
