*Job Overview* The Development Director plays a pivotal role in advancing the mission of our organization through strategic fundraising initiatives and community engagement. This position is responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive fundraising strategies, managing donor relationships, and overseeing event planning efforts to support our goals. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in fundraising, excellent communication skills, and a passion for making a difference. *Duties* - Develop and execute a strategic fundraising plan that aligns with the organization’s mission and goals. - Cultivate and maintain relationships with current and prospective donors, including individuals, corporations, and foundations. - Oversee the planning and execution of fundraising events to maximize participation and revenue. - Utilize Salesforce for donor management, tracking contributions, and analyzing fundraising data. - Conduct market research to identify potential funding opportunities and trends in philanthropy. - Collaborate with university partners to enhance fundraising efforts through educational initiatives. - Manage volunteer recruitment, training, and engagement to support fundraising activities. - Create compelling email marketing campaigns to communicate with donors and promote events. - Ensure compliance with wills, trusts, estate law in all estate planning initiatives related to fundraising. *Skills* - Proficiency in Salesforce or similar donor management software. - Strong understanding of estate planning principles and wills trusts estate law. - Experience in fundraising strategies, including major gifts, grants, and annual campaigns. - Excellent event planning skills with a track record of successful execution of fundraising events. - Ability to collect and analyze data to inform decision-making processes. - Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage diverse audiences. - Experience in volunteer management to effectively mobilize community support for initiatives. - Knowledge of email marketing best practices for donor engagement.
