POSITION SUMMARY
The Data Entry Specialist is primarily responsible for the organization and oversight of the data entry, quality control, and reporting processes for various databases of the archdiocese concerned with parishioners, donors, and information collected in relation to the Archdiocesan Annual Appeal, Archbishop’s Dinner for Education, Archdiocesan Seminary Collection and other special collections or donations. Responsible for the management of parish data and other database operations as assigned.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform data entry and appropriate reporting from databases to aid in the efficiency of day-to-day operations.
- Collect and process donations, accounts receivables, and accounts payables.
- Monitor data quality and make necessary changes to processes to ensure high quality data.
- Respond to inquiries and requests from donors, archdiocesan organizations, and vendors.
- Coordinate with other offices to develop and distribute reports, reconcile summaries, and resolve exceptions.
- Prepare daily bank deposits and record cash receipts.
- Perform data entry into various databases and provide maintenance as required.
- Produce reports, lists, and data files as assigned.
- Train and provide ongoing support to other employees.
- Develop and document current, revised, and new procedures.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing and managing files and records.
- Knowledge of customer service best practices to include meeting quality standards for services and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Well organized and detail oriented.
- Understands and strictly adheres to confidentiality and consistently exercises discretion and good business judgment.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Background in and/or knowledge of the Catholic Church with a demonstrated commitment to the mission and teachings of the Church.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Raisers Edge experience or 2 years of other development / database applications preferred.
- Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite preferred.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Routine office environment; ADA-accessible building.
