The Administrative Assistant will perform a wide range of administrative and office support activities for the Department of Catholic Schools.
Essential Functions
- Plan and coordinate professional development and meetings for the Department of Catholic Schools and/or school personnel.
- Maintain records for MSDE certification of Teachers, Assistant Principals, and Principals.
- Research and maintain a spreadsheet of national professional conferences and workshops for educators.
- create and/or design documents including correspondence, reports, publications, etc.
- Assist with monitoring and updating of Rubicon Atlas (online curriculum).
- Assist in the updating of the Department of Catholic Schools Policy Manual.
- Schedule and coordinate meetings, appointments, and travel arrangements for Associate Superintendent of Curriculum & Professional Development and Director of Instruction.
- Collaborate on the preparation of documents for standardized testing.
- Assist in the preparation of Continuing Professional Development course approval process.
- Provide support by addressing questions and inquiries from school personnel.
- Maintain travel mileage and expense reports for the Associate Superintendent of Curriculum & Professional Development and the Director of Instruction.
- Offers general administrative support in collaboration with other Department of Catholic Schools office staff.
Position Qualifications
- Minimum Associate Degree.
- 2-5 years of experience in an administrative support role.
- Previous experience in an educational setting (preferred).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Outlook, and Google Docs.
- Knowledge of principles and practice of office management.
