All Saints Catholic School is looking for an experienced and qualified third grade teacher for the 2024-2025 school year. We seek dynamic and energetic candidates passionately committed to Catholic education.
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
- Embodies and promotes the mission and vision of All Saints Catholic School
- Acts as a witness to Gospel values by modeling the teachings of the Catholic Church
- Teaches language arts, math, science, social studies, and religion for a self-contained class
- Follows a rigorous, standards-based curriculum, creates engaging lesson plans, plans subjects with teaching team
- Consistently creates a high level of active student engagement and student-led learning
- Applies differentiated instruction and assessment that improves achievement for all learners in a learner-centered and collaborative environment
- Develops and uses effective methods of evaluation that are directly related to curriculum objectives and to concepts and skills taught; consistently and effectively evaluates student progress
- Uses technology to strengthen the teaching/learning process including iPads, Chromebooks, smart boards and online instructional platforms
- Establishes a consistent disciplinary approach which promotes self-direction and confidence; sets high standards for student behavior and manages inappropriate behavior effectively
- Communicates regularly with families and implements clear communication systems
- Cooperates with school administration; works effectively with all staff members to promote positive relationships with students and parents
- Completes additional administrative, operational, and professional responsibilities and duties as needed
Qualifications:
- Valid Michigan Teaching Certificate
- Protecting God's Children Certificate
- Certified Catechist
