Description
St. Therese Catholic Church is searching for a qualified, reliable individual to fill a part time receptionist position in the parish office. For many people this receptionist will serve as the first point of contact with the parish whether by phone or in person and is responsible for warmly sharing hospitality with all who come.
The ideal candidate could work between 20 and 25 hours a week with the hours primarily being in the late morning and afternoon.
Responsibilities:
- Answering and operating telephone system
- Distributing mail
- Greeting and referring visitors
- Scheduling facilities
- Data entry & word processing
- Maintaining files
- Photocopying and duplicating of materials
- Handling of bulk mailings
- and providing a variety of other clerical services.
This position performs the full range of clerical and secretarial functions listed above or specializes in performing more complex and responsible job responsibilities. The classification requires previous office and word processing experience. Familiarity with database management is preferred.
