Job Purpose
The Group Leader is responsible for overseeing and leading daily activities for the OST/21st CCLC after-school and summer programs for the assigned age group. This role involves supervising, mentoring, and actively engaging school-age youth in all program activities. The Group Leader will manage the preparation and distribution of snacks and meals, facilitate social, educational, and cultural group activities, and ensure the daily implementation of Project-Based Learning (PBL) and 21st CCLC activities.
Duties and Responsibilities
The Group Leader's responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Escorting children from school to the OST program
- Distributing snacks and meals to children
- Assisting children with homework and special projects
- Planning and implementing PBL projects
- Structuring and organizing activity projects
- Actively engaging with all children in the OST program
- Communicating daily with parents
- Participating in sports, arts and crafts, and physical fitness activities with children
- Cleaning up the area after activities
- Maintaining general cleanliness of the classroom
- Managing sign-in and sign-out sheets
- Handling communication correspondence with families
- Storing equipment at the end of the day
- Locking classrooms and designated areas
Qualifications:
Education:
- High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
- Safe Environment training and Mandated Reporter training
Specialized Knowledge:
- First Aid and CPR training

Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience or 2500 hours in a relevant field
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 19 per week
