As a Medical Receptionist at Tepeyac OBGYN, you will be the first point of contact for our patients, providing a warm and welcoming environment. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring smooth operations within our practice, managing administrative tasks, and supporting our clinical staff.
Key Responsibilities:
• Greet patients and visitors with a friendly and professional demeanor
• Answer and manage incoming calls, scheduling appointments, and directing inquiries
• Verify and update patient information, ensuring accurate records
• Process patient check-ins and check-outs, including collecting payments and verifying insurance details
• Maintain a clean and organized reception area
• Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and managing correspondence
• Collaborate with medical staff to ensure efficient patient flow
• Handle sensitive information with confidentiality and discretion
• Uphold the values and mission of Tepeyac OBGYN in all interactions
Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience as a receptionist or in a customer service role, preferably in a healthcare setting
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Proficiency with office software, including MS Office Suite and electronic medical records (EMR) systems
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is required
