FRONT DESK RECEPTIONIST
Primary Objectives
•Provide reception service for parish office.
•Facilitate communications and act as a minister of hospitality for the parish.
Major Areas of Responsibility
•Process mail items and maintain postage supplies.
•Open and close facility during the week.
•Answer telephones; take messages for the pastor and admin staff.
•Oversee maintenance of office machines and equipment.
•Assist parish staff members and volunteers in the proper use of office machines and equipment.
•Assist in maintaining ParishSoft database.
•Assist parish staff with clerical duties as assigned.
Parish Communication
•Receive and place telephone calls in a professional and courteous manner.
•Screen calls appropriately and record accurate messages for distribution.
•Maintain the phone system including recording messages.
•Registration of new parishioners.
Recording
•Schedule Mass Intentions
•Other duties as requested by the pastor or executive assistant to the pastor.
Qualifications
•Practicing Roman Catholic dedicated to Church teaching and have the desire to share that dedication and love with others.
•Working knowledge of multi-line phone system.
•Proficient in Office 365, especially Word and Outlook.
•Effective interpersonal communication skills.
•Flexibility to adjust to changes in schedule, routines, and job assignments.
•Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
Full-Time (35 hours a week 8:30-4:30) Pay range starts at $13.00-$15.00 an hour depending on experience. Benefits include insurance through the Archdiocese of Santa Fe and 403(b) with contribution matching.
