About the Role
We are growing our West Roxbury, Massachusetts, Diocesan Center and are hiring across a number of roles in business operations, finance, communications, media, and faith formation. For the Business Manager role, we are seeking a faith filled, experienced, creative, and technologically-savvy professional who will assume management responsibility for all critical business operations functions, including building up some processes from scratch.
Candidate Requirements
- Positive attitude.
- Possesses a strong, broad working knowledge of business operations, including budgeting, legal, and insurance, and property management.
- At least 10 years of experience managing small and medium-sized businesses, ministries, or nonprofits.
- Ability to lead and prioritize multiple diverse projects at once.
- Strong collaboration skills and ability to work with diverse partners including Diocese staff, leaders of individual parishes, contractors, and laypeople.
- Effective at creating some things from scratch with minimal or no oversight, including programs, processes, and partnerships.
- Is dedicated to "See a job, do a job." Has a self-starter mentality and applies that by identifying gaps, presenting solutions, and managing implementation.
- Is committed to the success of the diocese, and willing to take ownership of projects even when they're outside of the job description.
- Knowledge of or experienced in a Church setting.
- Has a passion for a Christ-centered work culture to grow and develop a Church community.
- Humility to do whatever task is presented, including administrative functions as necessary.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Docs.
- Manage and respect confidentiality requirements.
