The Office of Background Screening is looking for a part-time Operations Specialist. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years in HR, business management or business administration, the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, be self-motivated and organized.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

- Obtain and maintain working knowledge of: MA CORI procedures; SAFIS procedures; RCAB CORI policy; MA Mandated Reporter regulations.
- Assist in processing fingerprinting and National Sex Offender checks as needed.
- Data entry & filing.
- Make and respond to phone calls.
- Organize files and paperwork in general.
- Assist the Director as needed.
- Maintain a high degree of confidentiality for all information learned in the course of the job.
- Assist in processing incoming & outgoing mail.
- Create and update forms ensuring accuracy and validity of information.
- Maintain office supplies and monitor inventory.
- Maintain positive working relationships with colleagues throughout the Archdiocese.
- Other duties as may be assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

- Ability to become a Certified SAFIS-R User for CHRI access and complete FBI Level4 CJIS Security Training.
- Strong written and oral communication skills in English. Bi-lingual a significant plus.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (MS Word & MS Excel in particular).
- Working knowledge of office equipment like printers, copiers, scanners, etc.
- Ability to work effectively with people of various backgrounds, ethnicities and personalities.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize work and follow through with tasks to their completion, seeking help with overcoming obstacles when necessary.
- High level of accuracy with data entry.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Willingness to support the mission of the Catholic Church.
- A team player.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

- Schedule is Monday – Friday, 20 hours per week (specific hours to be determined).
- Job is based in office. This is NOT a work from home or hybrid position.
