Basic Function:
Provide Spanish-speaking client with residential treatment services to include mental health, chemical dependency, and dual diagnosis services. May include services such as mental health and substance abuse assessment, treatment plan development, implementation and documentation, individual and group counseling, crisis intervention, and case management services in a supportive and evidence based practice environment. Hiring on an ongoing basis.
Responsibilities:
- Under direction, ensure that the activities of this position and relevant programs are consistent with the mission, vision and values of Catholic Charities, Diocese of Cleveland.
- Within scope of practice, develop and implement approved treatment practices, procedures or interventions.
- Conduct a diagnostic assessment and deliver counseling services with clients to include Spanish-speaking clients. May deliver other therapeutic activities.
- Plan, implement and evaluate services with the participation of persons served and their families.
- Develop, maintain and monitor our Spanish-speaking clients’ ISP; review assigned clients’ progress in treatment and may communicate with internal and external qualified mental health or alcohol and other drug providers, child care, administrative, educational staff and referring agency staff regarding the progress of assigned clients.
- Manage a realistic caseload and services to be provided in community where client lives and functions.
- Meet the productivity standard in the provision of direct client services, such as individual and group services.
- Provide services in treatment facility, in-home, community and environment where client will function.
- Adhere to ethical and confidentiality standards.
Requirements:
- Must fluently speak both Spanish and English.
- Must have competent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills in Spanish and English.
- Combination of education and experience normally represented by a Master’s Degree in Social Work, Counseling or Psychology.
- Must have LSW/LPC, or MFT license or CDCA, LCDC, LICDC license. Independent licenses may be preferred.
- Maintain certification in First Aid and CPR, as needed per program requirements.
- Must have knowledge and utilization of community resources depending on clients served.
- Must be able to form good working and therapeutic relationships.
- Must be able to effectively and productively work with people of very diverse economic, cultural and administrative backgrounds.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule that may include evenings, depending on needs of program.
- Must have strong skills using computers and electronic medical record.
- If transporting clients, must have a valid Ohio Driver’s License and auto insurance.
- Final applicant is required to be fingerprinted to complete background check.
