Saint Joseph School is located in the heart of Hawthorne and has served our community for over 90 years. We are seeking a dedicated part time athletic director for the 2024-2025 school year that will develop an after school sports program. You must model Catholic teachings and values and uphold school policies.
- Recruit students for all sports during the school year by creating and posting class/school announcements
- Conduct sports sign up/info meetings for players and parents
- Collect participation slips and waivers
- Obtain, update, and post practice and game day information
- Interview, hire, and supervise all coaches for all sports
- Ensure coaches are certified with CYO, Virtus certified, and ADLA fingerprinted
- Ensure paperwork for coaches are submitted to the CYO office ( CYO Code of Conduct and Principal Verification Form)
- Attend practices to supervise coaches (substitute as needed)
- Attend games to ensure effective coaching practices and pay fees (as needed)
- Register through CYO or FIYA for each sport submit request registration fees
- Update athletic calendar on school’s website
- Attend all coaches/AD meetings for each sport throughout the school year
- Prepare SSSP grant at the end of the school year
- Inventory all sports equipment/uniforms and order replacements (as needed)
- Collect equipment at end of each season from coach
- Order awards for each sport at the end of the season
- CPR, Virtus certified, and ADLA fingerprinted
- BA/MA In Education or Kinesiology preferred
- Coaching experienced preferred
Wage Range
The rate of pay offered to the selected candidate is based on internal pay policy and budget. New hires are commonly paid at the minimum of the wage range or within the lower part of the range. We consider a number of factors when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training and other department needs.
