The Child Development Center at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Parish seeks caring, nurturing individuals to fill the roles of Lunch Floater and Closer. We are urgently hiring for these two part-time positions.
The Lunch Floater position schedule is 11am-2pm, Monday through Friday (15 hours per week). Please do not apply for the Lunch Floater position if you are not able to work this schedule. The person in the Lunch Floater position will spend approximately one hour in each room assigned to them at our childcare center, caring for children during their nap times while the classroom teachers take a lunch break. The Lunch Floater will move from room to room to allow teachers in other rooms to take their lunch break.
The Closer position schedule is 3pm-6pm, Monday through Friday (15 hours per week). Please do not apply for the Closer position if you are not able to work this schedule. The person in the Closer position will move from classroom to classroom, as assigned, to ensure supervision of the children at our childcare center as the early arriving classroom teachers leave for the day.

Summary of Essential Job Functions
Supervise children in your care at ALL times-ensuring health and safety.
Maintain a safe environment that is orderly, clean, and sanitary for the children.
Adhere to all policies and procedures as outlined by the Child Development Center, the Diocese of Austin, Health and Human Services (Licensing), and the Health Department to assure compliance for state certification and accreditation for our childcare center.??
Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED
Able to work 11am-2pm, Monday through Friday.
Complete a minimum of 24 hours of required training each year (provided by our childcare center).
Have at least 6 months' experience in a licensed childcare facility or school setting OR be willing to obtain 8 hours of pre-service training.
Pass FBI fingerprinting and background checks.
Obtain CPR/First Aid Training.
Complete Ethics & Integrity in Ministry (EIM) training.
