Data Coordinator
This position will support the Development Office and its projects and activities. This includes data extraction, mailings, appeal/event reports, data analysis, and donor research. The position is charged with maintaining the integrity, confidentiality and appropriate use of the Raiser's Edge donor database.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Data Management and Information Analysis.
- Generates and maintains mailing lists for SJCMA, Catholic Strong, SJSF, etc. to support mailings. Provide technical support with mailings as needed.
- Be proficient in the use of Raiser’s Edge (CRM) systems to capture, manage, understand, and leverage relevant data. Adhere to established data standards.
- Reporting: Process and manage requests for information. Assist users in synthesizing relevant information. Partner with staff to create and/or enhance reporting tools.
- Information Analysis: Extract, aggregate, and examine data. Verify data accuracy. Evaluate information. Identify trends, anomalies, and relationships. Make recommendations to advance departmental goals. Perform ongoing account research by monitoring industry trends and how they affect campaign processes.
DATA DEVELOPMENT AND SUPPORT
- Support direct mail solicitation. Suggest improvements or expansion based on data analysis.
- Assist the Director of Development and Associated Director with targeted engagement communications through donor segmentation.
- Create reports and dashboard to help all staff utilize CRM more easily.
- Document all information gathering requests and reporting policies and procedures.
- Assist in prospect research, identification, and documentation in Raiser’s Edge.
- Coordinate use and training of enhancements to Raiser’s Edge including the implementation of RE NXT.
- Implement introductory Raiser’s Edge trainings and on-going trainings for all staff.
- As a member of a cross-functional team, ensure the integration and integrity of Raiser’s Edge data standards; share knowledge and communicate effectively; ensure organizational success.
ENSURE DATA BASE INTEGRITY
- Coordinate with IT department for new Raiser’s Edge users, levels of access and adjustments to user roles and permissions.
- Import data as necessary to update constituent, campaign, funds, appeals and event records.
- Incorporate multiple mailing lists into Raiser’s Edge database to maximize its efficiency.
- Troubleshoot database and technology challenges.
CAMPAIGNS
- Prepare reports for the South Jersey Catholic Ministries Appeal (SJCMA) as well as other Development campaigns with internal and external constituents.
- Prepare reports to analyze funds (pledged and collected) versus goal – at diocesan-wide level as well as parish level.
- Prepare reports on donors for researching prospects, supporting parish/school level undertakings and event-related activities.
- Create and maintain reports for access by Finance/Accounting office for regular reconciliation and auditing purposes.
SPECIAL EVENTS
- Work with Special Events Coordinator to set up new events or other staff to create fields/data as needed in the Raiser’s Edge data base.
Education/ Experience
- Bachelor’s degree
- Experience with Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge and Microsoft Excel
