Regina Caeli seeks a local administrator for our homeschool hybrid program near Atlanta, in Norcross, GA.
The Center Coordinator of Education is the local administrator who oversees the day-to-day quality of the classroom instruction, manages and provides ongoing coaching of the local staff, and provides Christian leadership for the local families. Tasks are listed below. Some travel is required; to be considered, one must be able to attend a week of training in the summer (mid-late July in Dallas), and attend 3 days of local training in August. This position is a part-time position for approximately 25 hours per week, requiring work hours 8:30am-3pm on Mondays/Thursdays at the local center (nursery provided) - and - Work from home 12pm-4pm Tuesday/Wednesday (Friday as needed). Work schedule is compatible for parents caring for children.
Job Description (25 hours per week)
Open or close facility
Manage substitutions and staffing issues
Meet with parents/tutors as needed to formulate educational/disciplinary plans
Ongoing student formation
Oversee Gradebook updates and setup
Staff Management
Work with the Regional Manager to formulate all staff schedules, master classroom schedules, and chore charts
Attend and help lead local staff training
Hold quarterly staff meetings when needed
Attend all team conference calls
Perform tutor observations and evaluations
Coordinate 7th - 12th grade Ignatian-style retreat
Admissions Tracking and Family Interviews
Schedule all tours for potential families
Lead 3 Touring Events per year
Coordinate Parent Nights of Formation
Schedule Confessions
Teaching 1-2 classes will be encouraged once training is complete
Regina Caeli Academy (www.rcahybrid.org), is a classical homeschool academy in the Catholic tradition. RCA is a national organization that offers instruction in a formal Socratic classroom setting on Mondays and Thursdays. The positions are hourly, and complimentary childcare/nursery is provided. Applicants must be able to sign an Oath of Fidelity to the Catholic Church and have a deep love for the Catholic faith. Curriculum and grading guidelines are provided. Tutors are trained to provide instruction and classroom management according to RCA standards. The ideal applicant will have strong communication skills, good organization, timeliness, a traditional view of the student/teacher relationship, and must be living the Catholic faith day-to-day, including having received all the sacraments appropriate to his or her state in life.
