Description
Mother Teresa Shelter is seeking to hire a Shelter Care Staff to provide general facility upkeep. The Shelter Care Staff is responsible for a variety of maintenance, cleaning, and sanitation projects within Mother Teresa Shelter.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Performing the daily cleaning and maintenance duties for Mother Teresa Shelter's common areas, pavilion, courtyard, and restrooms.
- Ensuring all set standards of cleanliness are adhered to at all times.
- Checking all areas for any deficiencies and damages and reporting them to a supervisor.
- Ensuring agency guidelines are followed at all times.
- Other responsibilities as required.
Qualifications
Desired Qualifications:
- Previous cleaning experience is an asset.
- Must be self-motivated and be able to work independently.
- The ability to stand and walk for up to 8 hours a day.
- Excellent communication, and customer service skills complemented by a strong sense of professionalism and a keen eye for detail.
Additional Requirements:
- Must have valid Texas driver’s license
- Submit to employment required screening, criminal background check and drug screening
- Complete certification in Safe Environment training provided by the Office of Safe Environment and Child and Family Resources
- Position requires adherence to all diocesan policies and procedures
