Data and Finance Specialist
Ministry: Education and Workforce Development
Primary Office: Manassas, VA
Hours per Week: 40 (Non-Exempt)
Staff Supervisor: Program Director
Telework Available: Hybrid after 90 days
Position Description
The Data and Finance Specialist manages the student database for the organizational client database and processes and tracks accounts payable. Database management involves analyzing data trends, and other program data as well as generating program reports. The Data and Finance Specialist will track and prepare orders for all office supplies, perform safety checks and manage communications with building management and other service providers. May initiate new procedures in accounting/business systems.
Position Responsibilities
- Recording student demographic and assessment data
- Tracking students’ daily attendance
- Verifying, classifying, processing, tracking, accounts payable
- Billings, payments, deposits, and reimbursements
- General administration support
- Liaison with building management and key vendors
Other Duties
- Staffing support for classes
- Assisting with substitute teaching as needed
- Observing classroom instruction to ensure quality education.
- Conducting outreach to share upcoming program information with local community
- Commitment to mission, goals and services of Catholic Charities, Diocese of Arlington
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications & skills
- High computer competency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, OneNote, PowerPoint, Outlook) Adobe
- Data management experience
- Superior writing skills
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to quickly shift between tasks.
- Professional communication skills
- Effective at problem-solving
- Flexible to work irregular hours, including up to 2 evenings per week and occasional weekends.

Education and Experience
- BA in Finance, Accounting, or relevant field of study
- Two or more years of experience working in a multicultural setting
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment and to function well in a high-paced environment
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred but not required
