General Position Summary
St. Ann is seeking a joyful, organized person who loves children and Jesus to support the Coordinator of Children’s Faith Formation in their mission to help the children of our parish grow in their love and knowledge of God and their practice of the Catholic Faith.
Principal Accountabilities
- Assist the Coordinator of Children’s Faith Formation by handling the logistics inherent to the program and any other duties as assigned.
- Maintain attendance and registration records for weekly faith formation and monthly sacrament preparation workshops.
- Provide logistical support to volunteer catechists to ensure that they have the materials necessary to be successful in their teaching.
- Answer general information questions related to Children’s Faith Formation via email and phone.
- Create and send weekly Constant Contact e-newsletters to inform families about ministry events and occasional email and text reminders regarding schedule changes.
- Assist the Coordinator to build a supportive and encouraging community of volunteers and families.
- Support and instruct families about our Elementary Home Study option for faith formation and maintain related records.
- Create and print certificates and Mass worship aids for First Communion.
- Assist the Coordinator with the planning and implementation of various special programming events.
- Collaborate with the Liturgy and Business departments regarding sacraments, sacramental records, purchases, and volunteer Safe Environment compliance.
- Assist the Coordinator to facilitate, plan, and implement Vacation Bible School.
Education And Experience Preferred
- Associate’s degree
- Experience working with children in an educational setting is a plus.
