Position Overview:
As a Digital Content Creator, you will be at the forefront of our digital marketing efforts, responsible for creating visually compelling, educational content across various platforms. Your role will involve editing social media video content, designing graphics, and collaborating with our team to enhance our online visibility and engagement. You will play a critical role in showcasing our organization's mission and achievements to a global audience.
Responsibilities:
• Produce and edit engaging video content for social media
• Design eye-catching graphics for social media, web, and print content
• Design research reports and fact sheets ensuring they are visually appealing and accessible
• Develop and design webpage assets including banners, blog headers, and pop-ups
• Craft digital content based on articles, news, and interviews, to broaden the reach of this content
• Work closely with the PRI team to produce engaging content within necessary deadlines
• Take initiative and develop new ideas for engaging our audience with digital content
• Willingness to appear on camera is a plus
• No equipment beyond a computer and stable internet connection is required for this role
• This position will report to the Social Media and Website Manager
Ideal Candidate will have:
• A bachelor's degree or currently be in a bachelor's degree program
• 1-3 years of experience in videography and/or graphic design (work-study or internships may be considered as experience)
• Familiarity with social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, X, and YouTube
• Proficiency with video editing and graphic design software, such as Adobe Premiere Pro and Canva
• Strong storytelling skills through visual and written content
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
• Strong time management and organizational skills to meet deadlines
• A passion for creativity, innovation, and continuous learning in the field of digital marketing
• A strong support of the mission and values of the Population Research Institute
