The Database Coordinator is a full time (40 hours/week) position that reports to the Controller of the Cathedral. This role oversees the parish database and ensures accuracy and thoroughness of the data, including but not limited to, member data and financial gifts data. CTK uses Raiser's Edge for database administration.
Primary Responsibilities:
Maintain existing members' data and input new members into database.
Record, by data entry, all contributions (offertory, other collections, other giving campaigns) from weekly masses, on-line contributions and other.
Input pledge information for each parishioner as received during our annual Pledge Drive or other giving campaign.
Prepare weekly reporting during Pledge Drive.
Prepare and mail weekly New Member packets consisting of letter from Parish Rector, and temporary offertory envelopes.
Prepare weekly New Members report and forward to Parish Engagement Coordinator.
Update parish database daily, or as needed, based on phone calls and emails for changes such as marriages, births, deaths, change of addresses, change of membership, change in marital status, name changes, etc.
Receive all return mail, verify and record address changes. Notify parishioner of returned mail.
Prepare and verify database for offertory envelopes to Our Sunday Visitor (outside vendor for parish member's offertory envelopes).
Verify and transmit database for Georgia Bulletin on an annual basis.
Prepare membership reports as requested.
Make necessary corrections to members' giving history as directed by Parish Controller.
Assist in the preparation and distribution of parishioners' giving statements.
Assist staff with database entry for participants in events and ministries. Assist with database issues and reports as needed. Enter Virtus and Background screening information.
Attend staff meetings and other staff events as needed.
Qualifications, Skills and Abilities:
Experience with Raiser's Edge, minimum of 3 years strongly preferred.
Strong computer skills including, but not limited to, Microsoft Office and database management.
Must be a self-starter who is willing to work independently but is also a team player.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Excellent organizational and administrative skills.
Ability to maintain confidential information.
Possess a strong customer service orientation.
