Position Overview:The Archdiocese of Philadelphia, the Office of Catholic Education and Cardinal O’Hara High School are currently seeking an energetic and highly disciplined individual to fill the position of Admissions and Community Outreach Coordinator
This new position will be responsible for strategically promoting the school’s brand in the community; in particular, cultivating relationships with key constituents at our partner schools, planning outreach events, and finding ways to expand O’Hara’s involvement in the community. This role will involve working closely with the Administration, Admissions, Faculty, Coaches, and Students.
This is a full-time, 10-month position.
Responsibilities
· Develop a systematic, continual process to promote the COHS brand in the community by, among other things: (1) publicizing key successes of the school and the accomplishments and recognition obtained by our students, and (2) informing alumni, parents and other members of the community of events at O’Hara open to the public, and (3) other activities to be identified.
· Deepen the school’s relationship with partner school key constituents. This process should include in-person meetings, as well as a robust communication program through the use of email, social media and other forms of digital communication.
· The coordinator will be responsible to develop and/or manage certain activities which may include: 7th and 8th grade student visitation days, partner school visits, partner school retreats, and other leadership opportunities.
· In partnership with the Campus Minister, develop a program for grade school students to build their Catholic faith through exposure to our high school students and Catholic Identity. Specific activities may include confirmation retreats, special masses or celebrations around certain holy days, etc.
· Assisting coaches in planning clinics, play days, camps, and other athletic opportunities.
· Promoting other school events with the partners schools and their students and parents.
· Increasing O’Hara’s involvement in the community.
Qualifications
· Bachelor's degree and three years of relevant experience or combination of education and relevant experience.
· Strong verbal, written, customer service, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
· Demonstrated ability to relate well to individuals from diverse backgrounds.
· Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with students, parents, families, administrators, faculty, and staff.
· Possess initiative, leadership, enthusiasm, and a sense of humor.
· Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality.
· Knowledge of, and commitment to, the mission of Cardinal O’Hara High School.
