Position: :Immigration Case Manager/Full Time –Non-Accredited (Bilingual in English and Spanish)

Position Summary: :Assist clients with the preparation of immigration applications, liaise with relevant government agencies, analyze, review, and organize documents and data, coordinate document production, maintain client contact, and conduct ongoing case tracking and management.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities: :
- Provides a range of professional services to meet the needs of refugees and immigrants in the Elkhart/South Bend area.
- Gathers information about individual cases to determine eligibility, advises clients on securing necessary documents to complete the required immigration forms. Refers complex cases to contracted immigration attorneys as appropriate with approval from the program director and after written authorization of release of information from client.
- - Prepares the necessary immigration forms required by the US immigration laws and regulations for clients eligible to receive the immigration benefit and provides guidance regarding process involved, observing the professional conduct- rules and procedures for practitioners under the National Accreditation by the Department of Justice (DOJ) which govern the professional conduct for attorneys and accredited representatives.
- Works collaboratively with community resources to identify appropriate referrals to meet the needs of clients and with community agencies and attorneys in serving the needs of immigrants.
- Manages and organizes all aspects of documents, files, and database associated with each client specific case/matter assigned by immigration supervisor. Maintains all physical elements of the case/matter in an organized, efficient, and accurate manner.
- Provides both immigration director and client(s) with information necessary for immigration process, decision making, and review in a timely manner and maintains current knowledge about legal, regulatory, policy, and procedure requirements.
- Completes and maintains required documentation in accordance with the policies and procedures of the agency and provides support for the program staff in meeting the needs of clients.
- Complies with all grants, funding, audit, and legal requirements for the program.

Qualifications::
- Bachelor's degree is required. (Human Services or a related field) from an accredited college or university.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish (written and spoken) required.
- An understanding of and accommodation for the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds of special needs of the learners.
- Demonstrated multicultural sensitivity.
- Effective planning, organizational communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong intercultural communication skills demonstrating the ability to work effectively with people from other cultural backgrounds.
- Computer skills required include Microsoft Office Suite and email (Outlook preferred).
- Excellent written and verbal skills.
Conditions Of Employment::
- Have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- If your position requires you to transport clients, staff members, or volunteers with your personal vehicle as needed, it is required that you have a reliable vehicle with personal vehicle liability insurance coverage per person and per occurrence.
- If your position does not require you to transport clients, staff members, or volunteers with your personal vehicle, or such transportation is restricted to use of agency vehicles, your personal vehicle liability insurance coverage must be at least per person and per occurrence.
- Successful completion of federal and state background checks.
- Successful completion of child welfare screening.
- Successful completion of drug and Mantoux (TB) screens.
