Position: Executive Assistant for the Office of Vocations
30 hours per week (Schedule Negotiable)
Start Date: As soon as possible
Basic Requirements
•Must know MS Office, including Word, Excel .
•Competency with various social media applications.
•Good communication and follow-through skills.
•Must be a self-starter who is good at multi-tasking.
•Ideally have at least 3-5 years clerical experience or equivalent work.
•Must be familiar with the general functions of a Catholic Church, its ministries, and also be
competent with the associated vocabulary.
•Excellent phone skills and manners.
•Competent with technology. Must be capable and timely with email management.
•Good writing skills, able to prepare and write letters.
Primary Responsibilities
•Reports to Executive Director of Strategic Planning;, Director of Vocations.
•Working collaboratively with other directors and departments in the Archdiocese (i.e., Office of
the Archbishop, director of Communications, Department of Clergy).
•Assist director with office communications (phones, email, mail, etc.), scheduling and other
clerical tasks.
•Maintain social media and communications programs (i.e., Facebook, Instagram, Twitter)
•Assist with the promotion and planning of various special events throughout the year.
•Assist director with reports required by Archdiocese and other entities.
•Prepare disbursement requests for accounting purposes.
•Be available to support New Orleans seminarians.
•Assist in preparing resources for parishes.
•Schedule seminarians and deacons for Masses and other liturgies.
•Other duties as determined/needed in support to the mission of the Archdiocese of New Orleans.
