In this part-time role you will: - Create and maintain standard operating procedures for all equipment - Create and maintain safety training on all equipment - Provide training to staff and students and maintain records of training - Help staff to supervise students who are in the labs - Manage inventory and supplies - Assist with the St Andre Scholars annual Christmas project - Keep the labs clean and organized - Promote use of the labs within and outside the school - Recommend upgrades to lab capabilities Qualified applicants will possess the following skills and experience: - High proficiency using a large variety of power tools (R) - Experience with 3D printing, CNC Machines, and Laser Cutters (D) - Experience completing calibration and basic maintenance on the above equipment (R) - Experience with the software interfaces to the 3D printers, CNC, and Laser Cutter (D) - Proficient with 3D and 2D design software (D) - Proficient at Welding (D) - Proficient with industrial sewing machines (D) - Strong initiative - can teach self how to use any of the above if necessary (R) - Strong communication and organizational skills (R)
