St. Dominic Savio School, a close-knit community in Bellflower, is seeking a dynamic Office Assistant for the 2024-2025 school year. This role is essential to our welcoming environment, as you will be the first point of contact for families, both in person and over the phone. Key responsibilities include clerical tasks such as light typing, data entry on online platforms, billing, collections, and logging transactions. Additionally, you will assist students with minor injuries or illnesses and work collaboratively with the principal and office manager.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate effectively in both English and Spanish, including intermediate-level writing.
- Proficiency in computer literacy, particularly with Google Docs, Sheets, Calendar, Mail, Gradelink, and lunch program software.
- Experience producing business letters, billing documents, and newsletters.
- A professional appearance and manner at all times.
- Ability to complete tasks efficiently and with high quality of confidentiality.
- Assisting with hospitality during special events.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma
- CPR Certification (Infant/Child/Adult)
- ADLA Fingerprinting
- Virtus Certification
Work Schedule:
- Tentative hours are 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM, Monday through Friday (20 hours per week).
Wage Range
The rate of pay offered to the selected candidate is based on internal pay policy and budget. New hires are commonly paid at the minimum of the wage range or within the lower part of the range. We consider a number of factors when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training and other department needs.
