St. Hilary school is an elementary school in Pico Rivera. We are accepting resumes for a friendly and organized Front Office Secretary to join our dedicated team and serve as the welcoming face of our school. This is a part time position, 11am – 4pm Monday-Thursday, and Fridays 9-2pm. The Front Office Secretary is responsible for managing the front desk and providing administrative support to ensure the efficient operation of the school. This role involves interacting with students, parents, faculty, and visitors, handling inquiries, and performing various clerical tasks. Applicants should be familiar with and supportive of a Catholic elementary school’s educational and spiritual philosophy and mission.

CORE COMPETENCIES:
- Greet and assist students, parents, faculty, and visitors courteously and professionally.
- Answer and direct phone calls, take messages, and handle inquiries efficiently.
- Maintain a clean and organized front office area.
- Manage incoming and outgoing mail and deliveries.
- Assist with student attendance records and reporting.
- Coordinate and schedule appointments and meetings.
- Support administrative staff with various clerical tasks, including data entry, filing, and photocopying.
- Assist in the preparation of school events and activities.
- Maintain confidentiality of student and staff information.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the smooth operation of the school.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and trends in education technology and make recommendations for their implementation.
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a receptionist or administrative role, preferably in an educational setting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Suite (Doc, Slides, Sheets) and familiarity with office equipment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and handle a busy front office environment.
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is required.
Wage Range
The rate of pay offered to the selected candidate is based on internal pay policy and budget. New hires are commonly paid at the minimum of the wage range or within the lower part of the range. We consider a number of factors when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training and other department needs.
