Maintenance Worker (Part-Time)

Position Summary:
This position is responsible for building maintenance, custodial services, and security of the school buildings (including faculty houses). The maintenance worker reports directly to the maintenance supervisor.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Execute maintenance tasks efficiently and thoroughly, e.g., cleaning, repair, installation,
- maintenance and alteration of buildings, in addition to performing tasks assigned in maintaining the grounds.
- Performs all maintenance and custodial functions. Supporting completion of all
- maintenance and facilities requests.
- Support record-keeping of repairs, needs, requisitions, time records and work schedules.
- Responsible for opening or closing of buildings and for responding to school emergencies after hours and/or weekends as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor.
- Perform related duties as required including but not limited to: snow and ice removal, maintenance of school vehicles and school-owned maintenance equipment, reporting needs for repairs, perform regular preventive maintenance on all equipment and buildings as directed by the maintenance supervisor, and certify/receive all deliveries of supplies, equipment and services, etc.
- Perform related work as required
Qualifications:
- Minimum of a high school diploma
- Possession of a valid PA Driver’s License
- Experience in general maintenance and custodial duties
- General knowledge of the following helpful but not necessary: Electrical, Plumbing, and Carpentry.
- Motivated self-starter who can work independently.
Must be:
- Detail-oriented
- Flexible
- Must be willing to work nights and weekends as needed.
This is a Part-Time 12 Month position.
Part Time hours will be no more than 19 hours per week.
