The Kindergarten Teacher position is part of the schools Early Childhood Program. The teacher is the person responsible for all facets of the planning, implementation and assessment of the learning program and experiences for Kindergarten. Meeting the intellectual, emotional, social, and physical development of each child within a safe, healthy learning environment is the priority. The ideal candidate will have a passion for early childhood education and a commitment to fostering a nurturing, engaging, and supportive learning environment.
Duties & ResponsibilitiesCurriculum Planning and Implementation: Develop and deliver age-appropriate lesson plans that align with the curriculum.Incorporate a variety of instructional techniques, materials and technology to engage students and enhance learning.Foster a classroom environment conducive to learning and appropriate to the physical, social, and emotional development of students.Classroom Management: Establish and maintain standards of behavior needed to achieve a functional learning atmosphere in the classroom.Create a safe, clean and organized classroom setting that encourages positive student interactions and supports learning objectives.Model positive, Christian behavior for students. Utilize appropriate language, interactions, and positive discipline. Instruct and supervise children in classroom activities, lunch and recess. Monitor children to ensure safety, and report child abuse and neglect when necessary.
