Description
Looking for an energetic individual to organize and coordinate all facets of events held here at St James. Coordinator will work directly with Pastor and Business Manager, including coordinate with scheduler to book events. Coordinator will be hands on, supporting families in times of change, whether through death or marriage. Coordinator will maintain event files, rental contracts, in-house reporting, manage invoices and coordinate payments. Individual will also promote event space, building relationships within/outside the parish.

Job duties and responsibilities:
*Meet with wedding couples, funeral families, and event clients to discuss their needs, tour the facilities, arrange details of events.
*Coordinate rentals, collect fees, handle contracts & work with facility calendar.
*Physically handle setups/takedowns of event spaces.
*Coordinate activities with Director of Liturgy, Office Manager, Pastor, volunteers, and others as needed.
*Be the Point of Contact for families at stressful times of their lives, provide positive support while balancing the needs of the parish as well.
Qualifications:
* AA/BA or equivalent and a minimum of 2 years related experience.
* Ability to use Microsoft Office Suite, Email Programs, Google Docs & Calendar, MSP.
* Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills and be able to communicate effectively with people at all levels and from various backgrounds.
* Strong organizational and problem-solving skills; able to manage priorities and workflow. Demonstrated ability to plan and organize projects and to work both independently and as a member of a team.
* Versatility, creativity, and a willingness to work hard and the flexibility to handle tasks outside the usual workflow. Ability to work on complex projects with general direction & minimal guidance.
* Professional appearance and demeanor. Ability to maintain confidentiality.
* Must be able to physically handle setups and take downs as needed; be available to work evenings & weekends, as well as a somewhat unpredictable schedule.
