The Catholic Diocese of Lexington is searching for an Administrative Assistant/Receptionist at the St. Leo location. The duties of the Administrative Assistant/Receptionist include providing staff support, assisting with daily office needs, and managing general administrative activities. The Administrative Assistant/Receptionist must exhibit various skills and qualifications. The specific skills that the Administrative Assistant/Receptionist should possess include:
Communications and collaboration: The Administrative Assistant/Receptionist must regularly collaborate with staff and support personnel, management, and parishioners. Bilingual English/Spanish skills to become our Hispanic Community liaison.
Organizational skills: Organization and prioritization are the core elements of the Administrative Assistant’s responsibilities. You must know how to keep yourself and others organized and determine which tasks are the most important on each list.
- Answer phones and greet visitors.
- Schedule appointments and maintain the Parish Priest calendar.
- Schedule and maintain both Church and School activities calendar.
- Schedule and coordinate staff and other meetings.
- Collate and distribute mail.
- Create and maintain filing systems, both electronic and physical.
Requirements:
- Proficiency in MS Office, MS Excel, and MS Word.
- Ability to prioritize work.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Be able to keep confidential information.
- Bilingual English/Spanish
