Saint Hilary Parish School is a faith filled community seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic After School Care Aide to join our team. The ideal candidate has experience supporting a safe, and nurturing environment for children in our after-school program. This part-time position requires a caring individual who can supervise children, assist with their homework, and assist in activities.
As an After School Care Aide, your primary responsibility is to ensure the safety and well-being of the children under your care. Additionally, you will provide support to children as they complete their homework assignments, helping them to develop good study habits.
Behavior management is a key aspect of this role. You will use positive behavior management strategies to address any issues that arise, ensuring a respectful environment for all students. Preparing and distributing snacks is another important responsibility, requiring you to be mindful of dietary restrictions and maintain cleanliness in the snack area.
Effective communication is essential. You will maintain open and respectful dialogue with parents, guardians, and fellow staff members. Accurate record-keeping, including attendance records is also part of your duties.
The schedule for this position is Monday-Thursday 3:00pm-6pm and Friday 12pm-6pm.

- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Coursework in child development (preferred)
– Previous experience working with children in a similar setting using behavior management strategies
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Wage Range
The rate of pay offered to the selected candidate is based on internal pay policy and budget. New hires are commonly paid at the minimum of the wage range or within the lower part of the range. We consider a number of factors when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training and other department needs.
