Description:
Our Senior Community Service Employment Program provides employment, training, and job search assistance to low-income, older job seekers that will lead participants to get an unsubsidized job. Participants must be 55 years old or older and provide up to 20 hours per week of community service work, for which they are paid minimum wage, at non-profit and government agencies.
This individual will be responsible for administering a federally funded part-time employment and training program for adults who live in Worcester County and are at or over 55 years of age, and implementing policies and procedures set forth by Center for Workforce Inclusion, and approved by the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL). Responsibilities include to oversee, monitor, and direct Senior Employment Program in compliance with Center for Workforce Inclusion Sponsorship Agreement and maintain adherence to published program guidelines, policies, and procedures, develop and implement a program plan defining strategies for recruitment, placement and operational/fiscal management, ensure the recruitment and interviewing of all eligible applicants, the purpose of the program properly explained, all intake and enrollment forms completed accurately and timely, program orientation is completed and new program participants are assigned to qualified Host Agencies as required.

Requirements:
Requirements include a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent, knowledge of area government and not-for-profit agencies best suited to participate in the program, knowledge of or experience in job placement activities, and proven administrative experience and supervisory skills.
