Purpose of the position.
Responsible for the supervision of tuition and fees billing for the high schools, application of discounts, tuition assistance and scholarships and collection of funds.
- Oversees the collection of tuition and fees in the high schools
- Reviews tuition receivable reports and analyzes tuition collection in the high schools
- Coordinates the training of high school tuition officers and arranges for substitution during vacancies and illnesses in these positions
- Oversees the management of the third party system ensuring that students are properly credited with payments made through this system
- Coordinates scholarships and grants, ensuring that awards made by schools and third party organizations are properly posted to students’ records and that payments are made by those entities for the grants
- Supervises and verifies tuition adjustments for family rate discounts, staff waivers, and shared time programs
- Processes other tuition adjustments that are necessary to correct student balances
- Ensures that tuition policies established by the Office of Catholic Education are followed by the local schools
- Prepares records and reports in conjunction with the annual audit Performs other duties as needed
Education: High School Diploma required. Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Management Preferred.
Specialized Knowledge: Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Powerpoint); Accounts Receivable System
Abilities: Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, organized. Must have good communication skills for dealing with parents and school personnel
Experience: 3-5 years in account receivable management, bookkeeping or accounting
Must have car and driver’s license for travel to schools when needed
Must possess PA Child Abuse Clearances, FBI Fingerprinting and PA Criminal Background
