Catholic Charities of Southern Minnesota has an immediate opening for full-time Volunteer Program Coordinator for Active Aging Programs and agency wide Volunteer Services. This position requires a self-starter with experience in establishing, implementing and maintaining multi-faceted programming. Position based in Rochester but will require regional travel.
Primary Active Aging job duties include coordination of AmeriCorps Seniors programming, facilitating and monitoring evidence-based Health and Wellness classes, and engaging in older adult centered activities throughout Fillmore, Goodhue and Olmsted Counties.
Primary Volunteer Services duties include recruitment and matching of volunteers to needs within Catholic Charities of Southern MN, processing volunteer applications and certifications, and tracking of activity in volunteer database.
We are looking for a person who works well independently, shows initiative, has sharp community engagement skills, and works well on a team.
The successful candidate must also be organized and able to multi-task, pay strong attention to detail, and meet deadlines. Proficiency in Window Office Products including Word, excel, and outlook is a must. Excellent oral and written communication is required. Past community engagement, older adult services and non-profit work a plus. Life experience is more important than any specific educational degree.
