As a school office manager, your job is to run the administrative center the school. This job includes monitoring the attendance of students; working with parents, teachers, and visitors to handle inquiries about school activities and policies. The office manager also coordinates office activities and school events, schedules appointments for other staff, issue keys as needed, arranges for substitute teachers, and other secretarial, and clerical duties as required.
Experience in a related field or job, flexibility of schedule, and professional recommendations. The office manager is often the first point of contact, so a positive attitude and good people skills are needed. Also, due to the nature of the job, a professional attitude, trustworthiness, and honesty are essential.
Wage Range
The rate of pay offered to the selected candidate is based on internal pay policy and budget. New hires are commonly paid at the minimum of the wage range or within the lower part of the range. We consider a number of factors when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training and other department needs.
