The Catholic Diocese of Spokane seeks a dynamic, creative fundraiser to lead the Catholic Diocese of Spokane’s stewardship and development efforts. As Director of Stewardship and Development, this person will provide strategic leadership to create and implement a long-term sustainability strategy and build a culture of philanthropy among all constituents that reflects the Bishop’s commitment to proclaiming the Gospel in eastern Washington with a focus on Catholic education, vocations, and growth in holiness.
The Director oversees all diocesan fundraising programs, including donor cultivation, stewardship, major gifts, planned giving, capital campaigns, prospect research, grants and directly manages the Annual Catholic appeal, other diocesan appeals and national/international collections.
The qualified candidate has five years broad-based development experience that includes capital campaigns, major gifts and collections; a track record of measurable fundraising results, relevant senior leadership and managerial experience, strong organizational skills, ability to balance day-to-day operations with external role in cultivating and soliciting donor prospects; excellent verbal, written and, public speaking skills, budgeting and planning experience; working knowledge of data base and word processing software.
The successful candidate is a practicing Catholic who demonstrates a strong commitment to the Catholic Church’s mission and who can speak articulately and authentically about the mission and the Bishop's priorities, has a bachelor's degree in a related field, and is able to travel and work varied hours.

Salary: $95,000 - $105,000 DOE plus a full suite of benefits including paid medical and dental, life and long-term disability, 401 (a) and 403 (b) retirement plans, state-paid family and medical leave, sick leave, paid vacation and holidays, and relocation assistance considered.
