About The Position
The Communications and Admissions Coordinator at St. Catherine of Siena Academy plays a pivotal role in facilitating effective communication within the school community and managing the admissions process. This position requires strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to the mission and values of the school.
Primary Duties And Responsibilities
Communication Management:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive communications strategy to promote the school's mission, programs, and achievements.
- Assist in the management of the school's website, social media channels, and other communication platforms to ensure accurate and up-to-date information.
- Coordinate the creation and distribution of newsletters, press releases, and other marketing materials.
Admissions Coordination:
- Oversee the admissions process from inquiry to enrollment, ensuring a seamless experience for prospective students and their families.
- Schedule and conduct campus tours, information sessions, and admissions events.
- Review and process applications, supporting documents, and admissions inquiries.
- Collaborate with school leadership to develop and implement recruitment strategies to attract prospective students.
Relationship Building:
- Cultivate positive relationships with current students, parents, faculty, staff, alumni, and community members.
- Serve as a liaison between the school and external stakeholders, including feeder schools, parish communities, and educational organizations.
- Collaborate with the development office to support fundraising and donor relations efforts.
Data Management:
- Maintain accurate records of admissions inquiries, applications, and enrollment data.
- Generate reports and analyze data to track admissions trends and inform decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with data protection regulations and best practices.
Event Planning and Support:
- Assist in the planning and execution of school events, including open houses, parent meetings, and student orientation programs.
- Coordinate logistics, communication, and outreach efforts to maximize attendance and engagement.
Minimum Qualifications / Experience
- Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, education, or a related field.
- Prior experience in admissions, communications, marketing, or public relations preferred.
- Knowledge and respect for the Catholic faith and a demonstrated commitment to Catholic education.
Required Knowledge / Skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in digital communication tools and social media platforms.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to work some evenings and weekend hours
