SUMMARY
The Facilities Coordinator conducts and coordinates the timely and efficient maintenance of the parish facilities. The Facilities Coordinator provides direct and indirect services for the maintenance of the parish facilities by liaising with appropriate members of staff and vendors. The Facilities Coordinator assists in maintaining the standards and procedures for safety and security in all buildings.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The following duties and functions, as outlined herein, are intended to be representative of the type of tasks performed within this classification. They are not listed in any order of importance. Other duties may be required and assigned.
- Maintains property including but not limited to grounds, offices, public areas, and equipment. Assists in the implementation of a preventive maintenance program.
- Ensures all maintenance and repairs are completed in a timely, cost-effective manner and according to all specifications.
- Tracks all maintenance and repairs in process and completed.
- Coordinates organization's physical operations including but not limited to landscaping, refrigeration, heating, ventilation and air conditioning, kitchen equipment, plumbing, water treatment, irrigation and electric systems.
- Ensures all fire and safety inspections are completed and any discrepancies corrected.
- Ensures property follows all safety and sanitation policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Conducts monthly property inspections, generates work requests, and works with the Facilities Manager and staff in the scheduling of preventative maintenance tasks.
- Provides recommendations of items needed for annual capital budget for maintenance activities.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's degree preferred in facilities management or closely related field and three to five years related experience, or equivalent combination of professional certification and experience required.
- Knowledge of landscaping, heating, ventilating, air-conditioning systems, refrigeration, electrical, lighting, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and other generally understood maintenance skills desired.
- Proficiency in office software, such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

WORKING CONDITIONS
The working hours of this position are not limited to an 8-hour day. This person will need to be available in the evening and weekends, as needed. Must be willing to work in conditions of stress and function well under pressure.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Tasks involve the ability to exert heavy physical effort in heavy work, with greater emphasis on climbing 15 feet and balancing, but typically also involving some combination of stooping, kneeling, bending, crouching, and crawling, and the lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling of moderately heavy objects and
materials (30 pounds). Exposure to climate changes, uncomfortable temperatures, and fumes. Works with machinery requiring considerable caution.
