THE POSITION: This Seeds of Hope (SOH) Director of Allocations and Partnerships will manage relationships with Business Managers and administrators at all Archdiocese of Denver K-8 (AoD) schools regarding the financial aid process on behalf of SOH while managing the collecting and analyzing of financial data from families seeking assistance. The Director of Allocations and Partnerships will be the main point of contact for the distribution and tracking of SOH funding, including Hope Scholarships and any other SOH grant programs. This position reports to the Executive Director and will manage in-house scholarship database and application system, third-party vendor relationships, as well as other SOH financial, operational, advancement and communication initiatives to support the mission of making the tremendous benefits of Catholic education available to families in need across the Archdiocese.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
~ Work closely with Business Managers at all schools to collect and analyze financial aid requests for each school; maintain all program and scholarship records.
~ Administer all tuition assistance programs, review financial aid applications for Hope Scholarships via the Variable Tuition Program from families and distribute scholarship funds accordingly within established guidelines.
~ Assist AOD Finance department with tracking and distribution of St. Francis de Sales Legacy scholarships, and collaborate in the annual process of evaluating and budgeting for School Fund distribution.
~ Manage database of financial aid applicants to produce appropriate analytics and metrics for grant applications and SOH marketing materials.
~ Design parameters for SOH individual scholarship applications and manage parameters Variable Tuition Program application.
~ Provide data and analytics for grant reports as needed.
~ Assist SOH Controller with financial reconciliations between Caspio database and QuickBooks.
~ Prepare distribution schedules for Controller bi-annually for each schools' scholarship payments.
~ Prepare scholarship analytics and updates for SOH Board of Directors and Finance Council meetings.
~ Work with Controller on building and monitoring SOH annual program budget.
~ Manage Caspio database and online application system. This includes building and editing pages and managing all aspects of application design.
~ Serve as technical support for families and schools for the online application system.
~ Assist SOH team on execution of SOH fundraising events as needed; be present at all SOH fundraising events.
~ Regularly visit Archdiocese schools to steward relationship with school administrators on behalf of SOH; maintain open, transparent and collaborative relationships with administrators.
~ Participate in weekly SOH team meetings and contribute to Board and Finance Council meetings.
Qualifications
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
~ 3-5 years of experience in accounting, technical or business management role.
~ Bachelor's degree in accounting, IT and/or Business is preferable.
~ Position requires knowledge of general accounting principles and financial statement preparation.
~ Advanced excel skills necessary.

~ A high level of confidentiality and fostering trust is required for this position due to the work's nature and access to sensitive and private information.
~ Good communication skills required to comfortably interact with upper management, board and committee members, AoD staff, principals and donors.
~ Demonstrated ability to think laterally across all disciplines to consider how decisions and actions affect the entire organization and its stakeholders.
~ Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office a must; knowledge of web development systems, Access databases, donor and event management systems is helpful (e.g. Caspio, WordPress, Raisers Edge, Blackbaud, Greater Giving, Colorado Gives, etc.)
~ Some SQL and JavaScript coding skills are required but can be taught.
~ Ability to read and evaluate US tax returns (mainly for income evaluation) and other income documentation is required but can be taught.
~ Self-starter and ability to manage annual cycle of duties independently
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
~ While performing the duties of this job, the Director of Allocations and Partnerships is frequently required to communicate via talking, hearing and reading; to use hands and fingers to operate a computer and handle office equipment. This position is occasionally required to stand and walk and to occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds; and drive to locations within the Archdiocese of Denver territory.
