ABOUT THE POSITION
The Guest Services Specialist is a ministerial position, which will make God known, loved, and served by providing a variety of services called the corporal works of mercy. You will work as a team handing out hygiene kits to our guests, running our shower service, doing laundry, helping guests in our clothing closet, being present to our guests by talking with them, and organizing our dinner service. You will also have other duties as assigned.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES - WORK AS A TEAM ON:
• Porter Ministry: You will set up the parking lot in the morning to prepare for our guests. This includes putting out large jugs of water and cups, unlocking the parking lot, and welcoming and directing guests.
• Hygiene Ministry: You will provide hygiene kits to our guests as requested
• Clothing Ministry: You will help guests as they get clothes from the clothing closet, and restocking the closet after each use.
• Showers Ministry: Guests can get a private, 10-minute shower each day. You will take the guests name, and clean the showers after each usage.
• Laundry Ministry: Gather the names and clothes of guests, and wash, dry, fold and return the clothes.
• Dinner Ministry: Direct volunteers on areas they can help. You will assign jobs to volunteers, and run the dinner service. You may be asked to go to the food bank to pick up items for our dinner service.
• Cleaning Ministry: You will help clean bathrooms, hallways, dining rooms, and other parts of the building.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS
• Ability to lift 50 pounds
• Ability to work weekends
• Demonstrate close personal alignment with Andre House's mission to make God known, loved, and served.
• Ability to work in a Catholic environment.
