St. Mary’s School is looking for a creative, flexible part-time PE teacher to join our team of seasoned educators. The PE teacher’s responsibilities include sourcing supplies, preparing lessons, and providing developmentally appropriate instruction in physical education. You should also be able to supervise lessons to ensure that learners interact in a supportive and respectful manner. To be successful as a PE teacher, you should be able to encourage children’s physical, cognitive, social and emotional learning. Ultimately, an outstanding PE teacher will be able to provide fun, engaging and effective instruction in physical education.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Experience preferred but not necessary
- Demonstrate methods that support the physical, social, cognitive, and emotional development of children
- Create appropriate physical education instruction adaptation for learners of different abilities
- Understand individual group behaviors and motivations as to create a safe learning environment
