Job Summary: The Senior Director, Patient Care Operations (Warren Clinic) oversees the outpatient care for the surgical, specialty, and primary care operations for all Warren Clinic sites. This role drives organizational strategic initiatives that support the operational efficiency of the service line and partners with departments across the health system to uphold the overall delivery of patient care. Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field. Licensure, Registration and/or Certification: None. Work Experience: Minimum 5 years of healthcare related experience. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Demonstrated and proven knowledge of Microsoft 365, in addition to analytical and statistical software. Exceptional skills in writing reports and preparing presentations. Superior oral and interpersonal skills that allow for effective and independent communications. Strong ability to interpret financial and operational performance data as it relates to financial and operational management of each site. Ability to master the day-to-day clinical workflow of the electronic medical record (EMR) system and its related capabilities. Essential Functions and Responsibilities: Sets the strategic direction for the outpatient care for the surgical, specialty, and primary care operations, including designing and planning processes and services to meet current and future needs. Executes all budgeting and financial activities and partners with Finance and Decision Support team members to identify root cause of budget variances, develops and oversees implementation of action plans to address budget variances. Conducts budget review meetings to guarantee budgetary standards are met and ensure overall budget responsibility. Works with the Business Development department to operationalize new sites and care delivery systems. Guides the planning, development, and presentation of capital budget requests and handles escalated provider requests related to capital and labor needs. Partners with appropriate Medical Director in an operational DYAD. Guarantees operational efficiency of service line including economies of scale in services and operational functions. Develops strategic initiatives in areas of responsibility and responsible for attainment of goals. Develops and leads programs and ideas that enhance patience experience efforts. Ensures organizational quality metrics are met by working with teams to implement needed workflows and improvement efforts. Serves as a communicative leader to providers and staff members to explain legislative regulations, clinical quality measures, value-based purchasing programs, and other matters that are essential in providing quality patient care. Decision Making: Independent judgement in making decisions from many diversified alternatives that are subject to general review in final stages only. Working Relationships: Direct supervision of others. Prepares and gives performance evaluations. Works directly with patients and/or customers. Works with internal and/or external customers via telephone or face to face interaction. Works with other healthcare professionals and staff.
